Ama Abeywickrama is the Founder and CEO of AMA Tax Accountants. Previously known as SA Tax and Bookkeeping Services Pty Ltd., Ama holds a Master’s in Finance and a Bachelor’s in Commerce. Ama is also a registered Tax Agent, certified Bookkeeper, ASIC agent and Public Accountant. She has more than 15 years of experience in accounting and tax. She specialises in many different industries, including but not limited to tax preparation, accounting, and bookkeeping.
Ama founded her firm in 2013 and currently has an office in Hillcrest. She migrated to Australia in 2010 and started her career as a tax consultant in 2011. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Sri Lanka and continued her studies in Australia after migrating. She has also completed her highest studies in music, and she plays the violin and flute and continues to develop her vocal talent in Australia.

Sugath Hapuarachchi is a highly experienced finance and taxation professional with over 23 years in the financial services industry. He holds multiple internationally recognised qualifications, including CPA (Australia), Chartered Accountant (Sri Lanka), CIMA (UK), and a B.Sc(B.Ad)(Sri Lanka)
Sugath has specialised in taxation since 2012, bringing more than 13 years of dedicated tax experience across compliance, advisory, and regulatory matters. His depth of technical knowledge, combined with extensive practical experience, allows him to deliver clear, reliable, and value-driven outcomes for clients.
Beyond his professional career, Sugath is actively involved in volunteer and community work. In his spare time, he enjoys cricket, exploring fine wines, and staying socially engaged.
